William J. Malcolm, 78, of Salem, NH, passed on Sunday, February, 2, 2025, at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry.

He was born on August 9, 1946, in Everett, MA to the late Lloyd and Marguerite (McLaughlin) Malcolm. William was raised in Malden, MA and attended local schools. Following graduation from Malden High School, he proudly served in the Army National Guard. William worked for Stride Rite as a computer programmer for many years.

William was an avid Patriots fan, and traveled to stadiums all over the country to watch them play. He also enjoyed reading, music and bowling, especially for the Blue Moon team in Lynn, MA. William will always be remembered for his addiction to cookies and a good grilled cheese.

He is survived by his children Timothy Malcolm and his life partner Melissa Nickels of La Crescent, MN and Alyssa Halpin and her husband Ben of Salem, NH; his grandson Kasey Halpin; his siblings Kathleen Brassard, Donna Biscan and Donald Schulze; and his lifelong friend John Thistle. He is predeceased by his brother Francis Malcolm and Grace Schulze who was like a mother to him.

William's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at All American Assisted Living in Londonderry and Brookhaven Hospice, for the special care he has received in recent years.
