Obituary

Walter H. Robertson, 91 of Derry, NH, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023.


Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts on August 28, 1931 he was the son of the late Mary A. Lunny and William C. Robertson.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda Lee (Hepworth) Robertson who died on July 24, 1981, his brother William J. Robertson, sister-in-law, Pauline Gavin Robertson, and his granddaughter, Taylor Lee Robertson.


Walter is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Joy Robertson, his son, William James Robertson and his partner, Nicci Dell'Orfano, his grandchildren, Nick Luciano-Montes, Brianna Montes, Jordan and Riley Robertson, and Angelo Dell'Orfano, his step-daughter, Kim Nichols and his niece Jacqueline, her husband Herbert Peterson and their daughter Elizabeth.


Walter served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 as a radio operator with air transport aircraft (combat cargo).  He flew 120 missions into Korea in support of the United Nations action to bring fresh troops in and wounded out to the hospitals into Tokyo.  He returned to the states one year and flew two years with military air transport command to air bases worldwide. After leaving the service in 1954, Walter went into the jewelry business with his father and learned watch and jewelry repair.  In 1970, he received his real estate broker license and changed occupations.  He held a broker license in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maine, as well as a certified appraiser license in New Hampshire and Florida.  He also held a private pilot license and advanced radio license. Walter was a Master and past master of St. Marks Lodge in Derry, NH;  Free and accepted Masons; Lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Vet (DAV) and Derry-Salem Elks.
Walter was awarded an Air Medal for his service in Korea with a Bronze Star, United Nation Medal, national defense service medal and good conduct medal.
