Virginia Grace Bourque Wilman, age 94, passed peacefully and entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 16, 1931, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Joseph C. Bourque and Eva Paré Bourque.
Virginia graduated from Edward F. Searles High School in 1948 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, New Hampshire in 1952.
Virginia married the love of her life, the late Kenneth A. Wilman, Senior, and together they shared 65 years of devotion, partnership, and faith. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed a long career as a business teacher at Methuen High School where she taught for 23 years before retiring in 1987. Her dedication to her students and her profession left a lasting impact on generations of young people.
Following retirement, Virginia devoted herself to service. She volunteered for 30 years at Bread and Roses Soup Kitchen in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.
Virginia was predeceased by her daughter, Susan J. Wilman, in 1980, and by her brother, Joseph C. Bourque, in 2011.
She leaves behind her loving children, Donna Duerr and her husband John, Jane Cole and her husband Roy, and Kenneth Wilman, Jr., and his wife Linda. She was the proud grandmother of Arianne Sangermano and her husband Nicholas, John Duerr, Jessica Oliveri and her husband Richard, and Andrea Thibeault and her husband Ryan. She was blessed with six great grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, Zachary, and Benjamen Sangermano, and Lacey and Cole Oliveri. Virginia is also survived by her sister-in-law and dear friend, Lucille Bourque, along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 11 AM - 12 Noon, at St. Anne's Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH 03841. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12 Noon, at the church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anne Church Food Pantry in Hampstead, New Hampshire, in Virginia's memory. Arrangements are under the care of the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
