Thomas F. Ruffen Jr. age 67 of Salem, NH, died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.

Tom was born in Methuen, MA to the late Thomas and Mary Louise (Roberge) Ruffen. He grew up in Salem, NH, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Salem High School in 1975, where he was a 3-sport athlete and is in the Salem High School Sports Hall of Fame. He continued his education at the University of New Hampshire, where he received a Division I football scholarship. He then proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

Most of Tom's career was in the building material distribution industry. For the last 24 years, Tom worked for ABC Supply Company and was a Managing Partner and Branch Manager of the Manchester, NH location.

Tom was devoted to his family and dedicated to work. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Boston sports fan.

Tom is survived by his wife Karen (Parkman) Ruffen of Salem, NH, his son Trevor Ruffen of Salem, NH. He is also survived by his siblings, Susan and Tom Desmet of Wells, Maine, David and Cheryl Ruffen of Salem, NH and Mary Jo and Floyd Driggers of Salem, NH. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, July 16th from 4 to 6:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH.
