Thomas J.
Greenwood Sr.
Mar 9, 1952 — Mar 24, 2025
Windham
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Thomas J Greenwood, Sr. on March 24, 2025. He was born on March 9, 1952 in Methuen, MA to the late Kenneth Greenwood, Sr. and Barbara E. Greenwood.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by Linda Greenwood, his three children Tom Jr. and his wife Bethany, Sean and Sarah and her husband David, as well as his two grandchildren Grace and Damien. Also in his remembrance are his brother Ken and sisters Lee and Lyn in addition to numerous other family members and friends.
Tom grew up enjoying and excelling in sports playing quarterback for the high school football team as well as being a sharpshooter on the basketball court. In his adult years he learned and loved playing golf. He also enjoyed frequent sunset cruises on Cobbett's Pond with his brother Ken at the helm along with the rest of his family, which is a pond that both he and his kids grew up on.
Tom served in the US Army and spent time overseas in Germany during the Vietnam War. After his service in the Army, he spent his career working as an HVAC mechanic for several companies including Dalrymples, AGFA and Suburban before retiring at the age of 65.
Tom was a jack of all trades and was always helping family and friends with projects around the house never asking for anything in return. He would always drop everything to come to a friend in need at any time.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday March 28, 2025 from 4-6PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
