Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Richard Brazil, 57, of Millinocket, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Tom was born on July 6, 1968, to Barbara A. (Blackburn) and Richard T. Brazil. He was raised in Salem, NH and attended Salem schools. He went on to pursue his career in the towing industry, working with his father, who trained him on towing and recovery. After some time, he established TNT Towing and Recovery, after his favorite AC/DC song "TNT". In doing this, Tom was able to pass these skills on to his son, Dylan and nephew Chad in the years that followed. He operated the shop for many years, where he ended up rescuing many family and friends when they had car troubles.

Tom loved boating, four-wheeling and snowmobiling. He shared this love with his children, giving them experiences and knowledge, boating on the ocean and building four wheeling tracks in the yard. He later changed his life direction and bought property in Millinocket, ME, which was his happy place. He loved being able to explore the outdoors, often with his kids, nephew Chad, and his 3 grand dogs. Everything was an adventure, whether it was snowmobiling in the winter, driving his jeep in better weather, or stopping at various fishing spots, he made sure to enjoy every moment sharing it with family and friends.

Tom was overflowing with pride when his son Dylan, followed in his father's footsteps and earned the title of a U.S Marine. He often visited his daughter Hillary's shop, (Hillz Auto Detailing) and valued connecting, laughing and spending time with his family, friends, and especially his beloved grand-dog, Rosie while there. He was always good for joking around and making others laugh, taking a long drive, or making a trip to a casino.

Thomas truly cherished each and every relationship with his family members and friends. He learned to see life in such a wonderful way from his brother Mike, enhancing the amazing person he already was.

Being a wonderful Dad, Tom passed along many life skills and provided his kids with experiences that will help them push forward, while keeping him close forever.

He was a beloved Dad, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, who will be incredibly missed.

Tom is survived by his children, Hillary Brazil and Dylan Brazil; his siblings, Frieda Ceaser and her husband Ed, Richard Brazil, David Brazil and his wife Debbie, Lea Chorley, Rhonda Van Gelder, and Michael Brazil; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

His family wanted to especially thank Tom's dear friends, Shawn and Trish, for their love and support.

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Rick Chorley and John Van Gelder; and his nephew, Matthew Brazil.
