Stanley F. Kench, Jr., 78, of East Hampstead, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 8, 1946, in Lynn, Massachusetts, son of the late Vallie Kench and Stanley F. Kench, Sr. Stanley was a proud graduate of Newburyport High School and went on to complete the General Electric Machinist Apprenticeship Program. He served honorably as a Sergeant (E-5) in the 101st Engineer Battalion of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Following his service, Stanley enjoyed a successful career as a skilled machinist before retiring.
Stanley was a man of deep faith and a devoted member of St. Anne Parish in Hampstead, NH, where his funeral Mass will be celebrated.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Fogarty Kench, and their three children: Stanley F. Kench III and his wife Laurie A. Kench, Christine M. Carey and her husband Joseph C. Carey, and Thomas J. Kench and his wife Maria C. Kench. He is also survived by his sister, Sonia Allicon, and her husband Joseph Allicon. A cherished grandfather, Stanley leaves behind his grandchildren: Samuel, Amanda, Rebecca, Julia, Bradyn, Christopher (predeceased), James, Avery, Jacob, and Ashlyn. He was a loving brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road in Windham, NH. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., Lawrence and North Andover, MA. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Church in Hampstead, NH, followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stanley's memory to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation at LCRF.org. cancer.org/donate.
