Shirley Patricia Sarcione, 85, of Salem, NH, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 26th, 2025, at the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center.

She was born on May 31, 1939, to Kathleen (Scott) and Alfred Hamel. Shirley was raised in North Andover, Massachusetts and attended local schools.

She married the love of her life, Angelo Joseph Sarcione, Jr, in 1956, and the couple raised their family in Lawrence, MA and later, Salem, NH.

Shirley loved spending time in the sun, whether it was at the beach or up at Lake Winnisquam with her family.  Throughout her life, family was her priority. She also enjoyed shopping and dancing.  Shirley was an active member of the Red Hat Society and the Salem Senior Center for many years, alongside her husband.

Shirley is survived by her children, Angelo Sarcione, III and his wife Janet of Danville, Donna McCracken and her husband Bruce of Deerfield, Debra Dolce and her husband Floyd of Danville, and Anthony Sarcione and his wife Jennifer of Barrington; Grandchildren, Melissa, Scott, Sheena, Nicholas, Samantha, Angela, Shawna, Gino, and Anthony and eleven Great-Grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by beloved husband, Angelo; and her sisters, Geraldine Durkee, Mary Hamel, Theresa Hamel, and Barbara Hamel.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 9th, from 11am to 1pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1pm, at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the spring, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.
