Shirley Rose Gilmartin, 75, of East Hampstead, NH, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.

She was born to Rose (Gioia) and Richard Campbell. Shirley was raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, having attended Holy Rosary, St. Mary's, and Lawrence High School.

Shirley was involved with the Young Mother's Club in Hampstead years ago and was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead, NH where she taught CCD for many years.

Shirley owned and operated the Preschool Learning Center of Hampstead for 25 years where she was affectionately known as "Mrs. Shirley." After retiring she worked as a substitute teacher at Hazel Drive Preschool in Hampstead.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to warm weather and spending time at the beach in Maine. Shirley also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dogs. Shirley never met a stranger, as she made friends everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Shirley is survived by the love of her life, her beloved husband Jim Gilmartin of East Hampstead, NH.

Loving children: Jill DeCesare of Salem, NH, Allison and her husband Jason D'Orlando of Apex, NC, and Kevin and his wife Jillian Gilmartin of Newburyport, MA.  Adoring Grandchildren: Vanessa, Ella, Haylie, Camren, Logan, Caden, Aria, and Thea.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Friday, March 29th from 4-7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
