Shelley A. Ayers, 58, of Hampstead, NH went to her heavenly resting place on Monday morning, July 31, 2023, after a long illness. She passed peacefully at her home.

She was born on September 11, 1964, and was raised in Fitchburg, MA. She graduated from Fitchburg High School and went on to take classes at Wachusett Community College.

As a child, Shelley enjoyed camping in North Conway with her mother and siblings. She moved to Georgia for a time before moving back to be with her family in Kittery Point, Maine.

Shelley was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church and community. Her favorite verses from the Bible came from Psalm 23, and she lived her life accordingly. Psalm 23:3 declares: "He restores my soul; He leads me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake."

In 2012 she met the love of her life, Carl Ayers. They were married in 2013 and, through sickness and health, she enjoyed the best years of her life together with her husband.

They lived in Arizona for a time before making their permanent residence in New Hampshire.

Shelley enjoyed camping in their RV with her husband & their two dogs. She loved going to Maine to visit her sisters, niece, Jennifer & her husband, Glen and their two children. She had an affinity for books and always had a book on her bedstand. Shelley enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and always marveled at God's creation.

In April Shelley & Carl & their two dogs took a 2-week RV trip to Graceland as her "bucket list" adventure.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Ayers; her stepdaughter Madison Burke and her husband Francis (Buck) Burke; her sisters, Judy Rogers Evanic and Carol Rogers; her sisters and brothers-in-Law, Stephen Ayers, Karen Rudolph, Gary Ayers, Raymond Ayers and Kristen Rodehorst; sister-in-law, Linda Rogers as well as dozens of nieces and nephews.

Shelley was predeceased by her parents, Virginia (Hyzonen) and John Rogers, as well as her brother, Stephen Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation www.npcf.us in Shelley's honor.

There will be a private celebration to honor her life on a future date.
