न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचि
नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूय: |
अजो नित्य: शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो
न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे 20

na jāyate mriyate vā kadāchin
nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ
ajo nityaḥ śhāśhvato 'yaṁ purāṇo
na hanyate hanyamāne śharīre

The soul is neither born, nor does it ever die; nor having once existed, does it ever cease to be. The soul is without birth, eternal, immortal, and ageless. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.

Shardaben Ramanbhai Patel, age 82, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on February 1, 1943, in Anklav, Gujarat, India, to the late Marghabhai and Jibaben.

Shardaben was the very definition of love and selflessness—always putting others before herself, even during her final days. Despite facing ongoing health challenges, her strength never wavered, and her sincere care for her family remained constant.

Her deep bhakti to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj was the foundation of her life. She lived with strong conviction in the Akshar Purushottam upasana and faithfully followed niyams with full bhaav. She found joy in satsang through daily katha-varta, bhajan-bhakti, and spiritual reading. Her optimism and unshakable faith inspired everyone around her.

Shardaben shared 61 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ramanbhai. Together, they built a family rooted in warmth, unity, and devotion. One of her proudest accomplishments was raising children who remained steadfast in satsang and close to one another while making a positive impact in their community.

Shardaben found happiness in life's simple pleasures—watching cricket, swimming, and spending time in spiritual reflection. She was down-to-earth, caring, and energetic, with a joyful presence that brightened every conversation she had. Her legacy is one of resilience, thoughtfulness, and unconditional love.

A cherished wife, a devoted mother to three sons, and a loving grandmother, she filled every role with grace and generosity. We pray for her soul to rest in peace with God in Akshardham.
