Sandra Blakemore Chedraui, aged 51, of Windham, NH, passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH, on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was a cherished wife, mother, and daughter who had been battling End Stage Renal Disease, a compromised immune system, and Lung Cancer since 2018. Her resilience and determination enabled her to surpass medical expectations.

Sandra is survived by her husband of nearly 28 years, Dennis Chedraui; her children Jessica and Alexander; her parents Angela and Clifford Blakemore, Jr.; her brother-in-law Rene Chedraui, Jr.; her sisters-in-law Eva Chedraui Wilkinson, Elizabeth Schenk Chedraui; her nephew, Rene Christopher Chedraui; her nieces, Amanda Wilkinson, Brittany Chedraui Wallace; her great niece, Emma Kate Wallace and several aunts, uncles and cousins

She is predeceased by her brother Clifford Blakemore, III; her maternal grandparents, Rita and Andrew Davis; and her paternal grandparents, Doris and Clifford Blakemore, Sr.

Sandra was born on May 14, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received her education at St. George Catholic School, St. Joseph's Academy, and Louisiana State University, from which she graduated in 1996. In 1993, she met Dennis while they were both employed part-time at the local Coca-Cola bottling plant. They were married in 1997 and relocated to New England in 2001 to pursue career opportunities.

Sandra excelled in culinary arts, specializing in Cajun and Southern cuisine. She took great delight in preparing these dishes for her family and friends, especially during LSU and New Orleans Saints football games. Sandra was an avid reader who enjoyed both fiction and non-fiction, particularly topics on medical discoveries and history. As a true polymath, she possessed extensive knowledge across various fields, often able to answer questions with the proficiency of a Jeopardy champion. Her diverse interests included raising her children, engaging in crafting projects, cross-stitching, and restoring antiques. Sandra was renowned for her kindness, respectfulness, and exceptional abilities as a mother and wife. Her southern charm and humor allowed her to engage effortlessly in conversations with strangers at restaurants.

Sandra will be deeply missed by her beloved family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Saint Matthew Church, located at 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087. The Funeral Mass will commence at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow later this month at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
