Ruth E. Cahalane, 89, of Pelham, NH, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 3rd, 2024, at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence, MA.

Ruth was born on November 30, 1935, to Marion (Finnegan) and George Skinner. She was raised in Milton, Massachusetts and attended local schools.

She married the love of her life, Donald Cahalane on July 4, 1959 and Ruth stayed home to raise their family. Once her children were grown, she was able to help watch her grandchildren.

In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing softball, and spending time with her family. She was also very involved with the Salem Senior Center.

Ruth is survived by her children, Tracey Cahalane, Karen Reid and her husband Paul, and Steven Cahalane and his wife Frances; her grandchildren, Andrew and Carina Sherman, Sara and Derrick Coleman, Mackenzie and Connor Hayward, Tommy and Elizabeth Cahalane, Sydney Reid, Jessica and Don Jones, and Jennifer and Matt Ouellette; her great-grandchildren, Theo Sherman, Ivy Hayward, Brynleigh and Ashlyn Ouellette, Ryan and Christian Jones. She is also survived by her sister, Janice McClain, as well as her beloved dog, Harley.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Cahalane, her brother, George Skinner, and sister, Marjorie Sheldon.

There will be no services at this time.
