Rose M. Sarcione, 92, of Salem, NH, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, September 6 ^th , 2022. She was born on May 19, 1930, to Maria (Ferrara) and Alfio Donsuso. Rose was raised in Lawrence, MA, attended local schools, and graduated from Lawrence High School in the class of 1948. She went on to earn her certification in Cosmetology and Hairdressing in September,1949, at Fazio's Institute of Beauty Culture. Rose married the love of her life, Louis Sarcione, on September 13, 1953. She worked as a hair stylist for two other salons before eventually becoming the proprietor of the Exeter Beauty Salon, which she established at her and Louis' home in South Lawrence.

In addition to her love of hairdressing, Rose enjoyed singing, dancing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She was known and loved for the multi-course meal she would host for the entire family each and every Christmas.

Rose was a breast cancer survivor. After her recovery, she decided to retire her shears and try something different. She went on to work at Lucent Technologies, from which she retired at the age of 62.

Rose was a kind, fun loving, and generous person, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was quiet and had a gentle manner, however, her witty and sometimes "spicy" remarks could surprise many that engaged her in conversation. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her son, William Sarcione and his companion Jeannine Redden of Salem, NH; her daughter, Maria Martin and her husband Bernie of Derry, NH; her grandchildren, Christopher Martin, Kyle Sarcione and his companion Jeannine Bytwerk, Kara Kerr and her husband Japhet, and Jessica Forte and her husband Joseph; her great-grandchildren, Kylin and Calix Kerr; her sister, Ann Despres;  her brother-in-law, John Sarcione; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Louis; her brother, Michael Donsuso; her sister-in-law, Rosemarie Brennan; and her brother-in-law, Paul Despres.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 12 ^th , from 4-7pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Holy Angels Cemetery in Plaistow, NH.

Her family would like to thank the nursing staff and caregivers of the Salemhaven Nursing Facility for their exceptional care of Rose over the past few years.
