Ronald Andrew
L'Heureux
Dec 5, 1951 — Dec 5, 2024
Derry
Ronald Andrew L'Heureux, 73, of Derry, NH passed away on December 5, 2024, at Parkland Medical Center.
Ron was born on December 5, 1951, to Agnes (Dionne) and Chanel L'Heureux. He was raised in Methuen, Massachusetts and attended local schools. Ron went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in math, before pursuing his nursing degree, which was his true passion. He spent the next 45 years working as a Registered Nurse at Holy Family Hospital. He worked many years in the emergency room before transferring to oncology. Here, his gentle and compassionate care deeply touched the lives of many patients.
Outside of his work as a nurse, Ron had a rich personal life filled with family and friends. He was an avid NE sports fan, especially of the Boston Bruins. His love of sports was passed down to his children and subsequently grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to jazz and rock music. In his free time, he loved cooking and baking, and he especially cherished hosting family gatherings, taking quiet pride in making sure every gathering was special for his loved ones.
Ron's kindness and quiet strength were evident to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a remarkable way of being a positive presence in the lives of those around him. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed playing sports with them and looked forward to cheering them on from the sidelines at any of their sporting and school events.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Carol A. (Hubbard) L' Heureux; his daughter, Kate Plante and her husband Donald of Goffstown, NH; his son, David L'Heureux and his wife Leah, of Hermon, ME; his grandchildren, Leah, Elizabeth, Camden, and Bryson.
