Obituary

Robert S. "Rob" DeCesare Jr., 59, of Nashua, NH, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2025, while protecting his beloved wife and daughter. He was born on November 12, 1965, in Boston, MA, to his adoring parents, Robert S. DeCesare and Allina "Evie" (Evans) O'Rourke. Rob was raised and educated in Salem, NH.

A family member at his core, Rob was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He loved spending time with family and friends more than anything in the world. He was an enthusiastic golfer and truly treasured the time he spent on the course with his best friends. Since becoming a member of the Sky Meadow Country Club, Rob found immense joy in bonding with and tormenting his "Pickleball Crew." He and his mother Evie played many games of Yahtzee together, and he was also known as a strategic and fiercely competitive poker player.

Although Rob didn't get to achieve his dream of retiring on a catamaran in the Caribbean, his family like to think that he's sailing away, looking for his lost shaker of salt into eternity.

In addition to his cherished wife of 27 years, Charlene (Coraccio) DeCesare, Rob is survived by his children, Austin Ware of Boston, MA, Makayla DeCesare and her fiancé Benjamin Wickett of Boston, MA, and Steven DeCesare of Austin, TX; father, Robert DeCesare Sr. and his wife Sandra  of Palm City, FL; mother, Evie O'Rourke and her husband Kevin of Salem, NH; siblings, Lisa Querci and her husband Joe of Hampstead, NH, David DeCesare and his wife Yaqui of Hampstead, NH, Michael Waterhouse of Salem, NH, Chris Waterhouse and his wife Carrie of Salem, NH, Teresa Anderson and her husband Mark of Sandown, NH, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

A Celebration of Rob's Life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, beginning at 12pm, at the Centerpoint Community Church, 101 School Street, Salem, NH. All family and friends are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
