Rita H. Mistretta, 76, of Salem, NH, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at her home with her husband at her side. She was born on August 21, 1946, to the late Armand and Yvonne (Savard) Cartier, in Berlin, NH.

Rita's faith was always close to her heart. She was a daily communicant of St. Matthew's Parish, along with her husband, David Mistretta. Rita was a pro-life advocate, and often participated in bible studies in the community. Rita loved her crossword puzzles, bicycle rides, and walking along the coast.

In addition to her husband David, Rita is survived by her siblings: Ronald Cartier, Roland Cartier, and Ann Marie Cartier; her granddaughter: Tiffany Hartford; her great-grandchildren: Madison and Liam; her daughter in law: Kelly Cosgrove; her brother in law: John Mistretta; and her step-sister: Nita Warden.

In addition to her parents, Rita is predeceased by her children: Mark and Tina Hartford; and her brother: Richard Cartier.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at St. Matthew's Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard, MA.
