Rene Joseph Belanger, Jr, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 31, 2024, at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Hospital.

Rene was born on September 15, 1948, to Dorothy (Blair) and Rene Joseph Belanger, Sr. He was raised in Andover, Massachusetts and attended local schools. Rene began his career as an automotive mechanic and later went on to own his own excavation company, R.J Belanger Excavation.

When he wasn't pursuing his passion in excavation, he spent his free time outdoors by restoring hot-rods, camping, and driving his side by side.

Rene is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Laurie (Bariteau) Belanger; his children, Angel Belanger, Christie Ellis and her husband David, Tim Bariteau, Ashley Bariteau, Ryan Bariteau, Rene Bariteau, Chloe Bariteau, and Kayla Melson; his father, Rene J. Belanger Sr; his grandchildren, Philip, Justin, Aiden, Kristen, and James; his great-grandchildren, Damien, Hunter, and Blair; his siblings, Elizabeth, Kathleen, David, Mary, John, Dotty; and Scott; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his mother, Rene was predeceased by his brother, Michael Belanger.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 5th from 12 to 3pm, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Family and Friends will be invited to share memories or stories of Rene at 3pm, at the funeral home.
