The soul is neither born, nor does it ever die; nor having once existed, does it ever cease to be. The soul is without birth, eternal, immortal, and ageless. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.

Pravinbhai Chimanbhai Patel, Age 84 from Lowell, MA passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2025. He was born and raised in Mandala, India in Chimanbhai and Zaverben's family as 4th out of 7 kids.

His academic achievements include his elder brother helping him get into MS University for a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his career in India, he ensured to enlighten Vadodara as part of the Gujarat Electricity Board. He had became a Gayatri mata upasak under his guru, Santvanji Maharaj in Karnali. Pravinbhai and his wife, Ila Patel, made their home in Karelibaug, Vadodara with his parents a welcoming place. Some know it as the place where every evening, the family played bhajans with orchestra, some as a mango ras factory, some as an Utran capital, and some as a safe space for studying.

At 53, he accepted his brothers' invitation to move to the US to be with his family. Uncertainty never feared him as he was a man of complete faith. He started building a network of relations, in this new place. He never used the word boredom. He had great fun doing two jobs for some time. As the family grew, keeping the labels of father-in-law or grandfather aside, he only wore one hat, a friend.

His ritual in Vadodara on Thursdays was to go to the Sai temple, Jalaram temple, Dattatreya temple, and so on. He continued the routine in the US by visiting the Sai temple on Thursdays. Outside of his missionary work, Pravinbhai found joy in music, cricket, running to grocery stores, gardening, and a lot more that connects one with nature, healing, and people.

Those who knew Pravinbhai remember him for his infectious smile, witty humor, deep-rooted faith, and unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He boosted the morale of people challenging themselves. He cheered people who chased their dreams. He tried healing people in pain. He made himself available to anyone needing a helping hand. He embodied the definition of a KarmaYogi. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

He is survived by his wife: Ilaben, kids: Mehul, Sheetal, Chintan, Nitasha, and Nupur, grandkids: Yashvi, Divyam, Maanya, and Hrimaya, extended family, friends, a village full of well-wishers and many plants. Let's bid the soul of P C Patel a warm goodbye.
