Obituary

Peter T. Spampinato, 80, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on September 7, 1945, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to the late Peter and Grace (Proulx) Spampinato.

Peter was the owner and operator of Capital Machine, but his passion for art and for his hobbies took him much further from the shop. He was an avid sculptor and was a part of a few organizations including New England Sculptors Association and Newburyport Art Association. After a safari trip many years ago, Peter started specializing in wildlife sculptures.

Along with his wife Mary, Peter enjoyed traveling all over the world, including England, Italy, Bermuda, Aruba, Alaska, and Hawaii. Peter also enjoyed playing blackjack, fishing, and golfing. Pete would tell you that his most cherished times were spending time with his family. He and his wife began the traditions of Sunday pool parties and Christmas Eve celebrations. His family will always cherish the 60 years of family togetherness.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Mikolis) Spampinato, of Pelham, New Hampshire, with whom he had recently celebrated sixty years of marriage, along with their children:

Joseph T. Spampinato and his wife, Tanya, of Manchester, New Hampshire
Steven M. Spampinato of Salem, New Hampshire
Michael R. Spampinato and his wife, Jennifer, of Salem, New Hampshire
He is also survived by his sister, Anna Falcon, of Marlboro, Massachusetts; his grandchildren: Nicole, Tara, Derek, Emilee, Maegan, Alison, Timothy, Tyler, and Kira; and his great-grandchildren: Caleb, and one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Peter is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Spampinato.

In keeping with Peter's wishes, funeral services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
