Peter Galluzzo of Marco Island, FL and Provincetown, MA, passed away unexpectedly on May 20, 2024. He was born in Arlington, MA on June 30, 1960, son of the late Pasquale (Pat) Galluzzo and Carmela (Gallo) "Melina" Galluzzo.

Peter grew up in Arlington, MA where he graduated from high school in 1978. He then attended the Hair Styling Academy and became a successful entrepreneur, spending many years at Peter's Solution in Arlington. He later moved to Marco Island, FL where he opened and operated four hair salons.

Peter was the husband of Kevin Moriarty, and they were together for 39 years. They were married in September of 2013, in Provincetown, MA. They settled in Medford, MA for many years, then purchased a house in Woburn, MA before building their dream home on Marco Island. The two also owned their own Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream shop in Arlington, MA.

A friend described Peter as someone who worked hard, played hard, fought hard, and loved hard. He enjoyed life to the fullest extent and was ever the optimist, filled with gratitude.  He positively influenced and inspired his friends and family, and the force of his personality had a positive and transformative effect on countless people.  His passions included spending time with beloved friends and family, including his cats Giuseppe, Gracie and Ben. Peter also had a keen interest and sharp eye in real estate, having purchased and sold many homes, rental properties and land. Being a hairstylist wasn't work for Peter since he thoroughly enjoyed getting to know people and being part of their lives over many years.  He spent part of his youth in Italy and recently traveled back there and reconnected with family.

In addition to his husband, Peter is lovingly survived by his sister Maria Day and her five children; his brother-in-law, David Moriarty and wife Helen, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends who were part of his extended chosen family.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, May 28th, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will remain private for the family.
