Patricia "Pat" (Bennett) Heenan, 86, of Windham, NH, passed away on February 12, 2023, at St. Teresa's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Manchester, NH.

She was born on March 12, 1936, to the late Frederick and Margaret (Ames) Bennett, in Boston, MA. Pat was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School, Class of 1953, where she met her high school sweetheart, Edward W. "Ed" Heenan; the two were married on September 15, 1956. They made their home and started their family in West Medford, MA. Throughout her career, Pat worked for John Hancock, Tufts University and Sullivan & Worcester in Boston.

In 1983, Pat and Ed decided to leave city life and moved to Windham, NH. Pat went to work for the town of Windham, serving as Deputy Town Clerk, where she would fulfill that duty for 15 years.

Pat had many joys in life. As a youth, she enjoyed roller skating at the Bal-A-Roue in Medford. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing and started quilting later in life. Pat had a love of cooking and baking, much to the delight of her family. She was also an avid fan of Neil Diamond, attending several concerts over the years. Pat was always active in her community, serving as a Girl Scout Leader and belonged to the Ladies Sodality of St. Raphael's Church in Medford, eventually serving as Prefect. Pat and Ed loved to travel, making trips to favorite places like Maine, the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire and especially Cape Cod, where the family gathered every September. Throughout her life, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her focus and happiness.

Pat is predeceased by her brother William Bennett and granddaughter Bridget Kathryn.  She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Heenan; her children, Paul Heenan and his wife Tricia of Brockton, MA, Dennis Heenan and his wife Erin of Salem, MA, Susan Breen and her husband David of Derry, NH, and Karen Kennedy and her partner Michael Bosley of Orleans, MA; her grandchildren: Damien, Sean, Kellie, Megan, Edward, Kevin, Ryan, Connor, Tyler and Alannah; her great-grandchildren: Brenna, Shaelin, Cameron, Mason, Emsley, Roenik and Oliver; her brother, Robert Bennett of Woburn, MA; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend of 40 years, Kathleen Davis.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 17 ^th from 4pm to 7pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
