With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the unexpected loss of Olivia Mushroom Murphy, age 25, of New Hampton, NH, who left this world on May 2, 2025.

Born on March 9, 2000, in Leadville, Colorado, Olivia was the beloved daughter of Rick and MaryBeth Murphy and the cherished sister of Timothy Murphy, Kyle Murphy, Amy Murphy and Thor (German Shepherd). She is survived by her parents, siblings, grandmothers Helen Ann Litchfield and Ellen Murphy, many aunts, uncles and beloved cousins, and a wide circle of friends.

Olivia graduated from Salem High School in 2018. She enjoyed impromptu cross-country adventures to Comic-Con, family adventures to the Caribbean, hiking through New England, and playing with her dogs Bella and Thor. She was an avid reader, video gamer, and music listener. She had dreams of working for the National Park Service.

From the very beginning, she brought light, laughter, and meaning to the lives she touched. Olivia was courageously and unapologetically herself- unshakable, radiant, and real. Whether she was hiking, sketching, creating thoughtfully curated playlists, or hanging out with loved ones, Olivia had a gift for making others feel seen and valued. She was a great listener. Olivia will be sorely missed by many.
