Oliva Leo Ouellette, 89, of Salisbury, MA, passed away in his home on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

He was born on September 19, 1934, in Lawrence, MA, to Joseph and Henrietta (Ginchereau) Ouellette. In his youth, Oliva bravely served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. He then enjoyed his 20 years spent in Chicago, IL, where he was an active member of the Waukegan Chamber of Commerce and the community as a whole.

Oliva spent his career working for DEX Media and enjoyed a long a happy retirement thereafter. He kept busy with his devotion to several organizations including the Lions Club International, Telephone Pioneers of America, Kiwanis International, Rotary International, American Legion, and American Contract Bridge League "Life Masters." Outside of his many clubs and organizations, he enjoyed playing bridge and 45's. Above everything, Oliva was a proud veteran and a devoted family man, who cherished every moment spent with his many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by the love of his life: Rita G. (Koesling) Ouellette; their children: George and Valerie Ouellette, Gregory and Carol Ouellette, Gary and Diane Ouellette, and Geoffrey Ouellette; his siblings: George and June Ouellette, Nancy and Anthony Furnari, Russel and Patricia Ouellette, Patricia and Frank Curan, Gerard and Faith Ouellette, and Gloria Martell; grandchildren: Caine, Julie, Myles, Shiela, Lyndel, Jacalyn, Miranda, Andrea, Timothy, and Andrew; and 8 loving great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 10 AM-12 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road Windham, NH, with Military Honors beginning at 11:30 AM. A celebration of life will follow in the Carrier Family Funeral Home's Function Hall from 12pm-2pm.
