Nancy M. (Joy) Brown, 70 of Derry, NH, died unexpectedly at her home in Derry.
Nancy was born in Lawrence, MA to the late John W. Sr. and Violet (Penny) Joy. She grew up and was educated in Salem, NH, where she graduated from Salem High School in 1970. She was a resident of Derry for over 50 years.
Nancy worked in the activities department at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, NH, where she was awarded the Compassion Award. Before that, she worked for Coca Cola for many years. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, and Zumba. She loved to travel, especially to Aruba. Nancy loved and found her happy place at Winnisquam Lake.
Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband Joseph Brown.
She is survived by her beloved daughter: Pamela and her husband Gregg Parolise of Derry, NH; Stepdaughter : Amy and her husband Bill Grube of Windham, NH; Siblings: John Joy Jr. of Salem, NH, Phillip and his wife Pam Joy of Marshfield, MA, Carol Witts of Salem, NH, and Joanne and her husband David Carter of Manchester, NH; Grandchildren: Megan and Jessica Parolise , and Lauren Grube; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
Friend and relatives are invited to a celebration of Nancy's life on Saturday, May 20 th at 12:30 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Private graveside services will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Activities Department, 8 Peabody Rd, Derry, NH 03038.
