Muriel F. (Ryan) Feeney, 97, of Salem, NH, passed away on December 23, 2022, at Salemhaven Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2, 1925, to the late Francis J. and Zelma (Jordan) Ryan, in Lawrence, MA. Muriel graduated from Lawrence High School, with the Class of 1943. She went on to earn an Associates Degree from Burdette College, with the Class of 1944.
Muriel will be remembered as an excellent seamstress, a fabulous cook, and an avid gardener. She fondly remembered her time spent up at her family's camp in Maine. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, whom she will be greatly missed by.
In her professional life, Muriel worked for Gelt Supermarket as a bookkeeper, and her father's furniture store, Back Bay Furniture. Above everything, she was proud to be part of "The Greatest Generation" and her Irish heritage.
Muriel is survived by her daughters: Jayne Ahlman, and her late husband Peter, of Salem, NH, Gail Landry, of Plaistow, NH; her sister-in-law: Marion Ryan, of Rye, NH; her grandchildren: Corey Ahlman-Roberson, and her husband Adam, Nicole Bonin, and her husband Peter, Dean Landry, James Landry, David Landry, and his wife Judy, and Francis Landry and his significant other Clarithza Cruzado; her great-grandchildren: Dylan Bonin, Taylor Bonin, David Landry Jr., Damian Peter Ahlman, Cheri Landry, Liz Landry, Krystina Landry; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Muriel is predeceased by her siblings: Captain Frank Ryan, Aileen Smith, and Sylvia Ryan.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her long time caregiver Niovi.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a period of visitation on Friday morning, December 30th from 10am to 10:45 am at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, at St. Matthew's Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
