Michael E. Kneeland Jr., 91 of Chester, NH, passed away peacefully at Catholic Medical Center on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Michael was born on September 14, 1933, in Lawrence, MA, the son of Irene and Michael E. Kneeland Sr. He graduated from Lawrence High School and was a Korean war veteran. He served in the U.S. Airforce as a Corporal in the military police. After his service he was employed at Craig Systems Co. before retiring in the 1990's. Mike enjoyed bowling, gardening, playing cards, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Matthew Church located in Windham, NH.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years Lorraine M. (Collard) Kneeland.
He is survived by his four sons and their families:
Michael (Mitch) E. Kneeland III D.C. and his family Kathy Deyett of Londonderry NH and Katrina and her husband Michael Law of Hudson, NH.
Glenn J. Kneeland D.C., his wife Donna, and their children Delanie and her husband Richard Barber of Shewsbury, MA, Corey, Molly, and Ainsley of Chester, NH.
John M. Kneeland, his wife Sherri of Salem NH and their children Andrea and her husband Michael Rossetti, their children Ryan and Sophia Rossetti of Derry NH, Zachary and his wife Ali, their child Wrenleigh of Alabama, and Samuel of Salem, NH.
Fr. David (Scooter) Kneeland D.C., Pastor of St. Lawrence Church in Goffstown, NH.
Michael's surviving siblings include Maureen Souma (husband Alfred) of FL, brothers Richard Kneeland (wife Faith) residing in the Philippines, and Robert Kneeland (wife Betty) of Lawrence MA.
He was the godfather to niece Carol Labrecque and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He also was the brother of the late Walter Kneeland, Diane Kneeland, Gorden Kneeland, Nancy (Kneeland) Rogers and Winifred (Kneeland) Durkin.
Calling hours will be Monday February 10th from 4 PM to 7 PM at Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 11th at 10 AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2 Searles Rd, Windham, NH 03087. Burial will follow in New Plains Cemetery, 8 Ministerial Rd, Windham, NH. Memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities NH.
