Michael Fleming, 86, of Merrimack NH passed away on August 2, 2023, surrounded by his family. The tough & stubborn Irishman that he was, he bravely showed as much strength, courage & perseverance in his passing as he showed throughout his life.

Born in Ireland on July 24, 1937, he moved to the Bronx, NY in 1958 where he met & married his "little love" Teresa (Tessie) in 1959.  There they raised 6 children before moving to NH in 2001. He worked for Fordham University for over 30 years as well as a doorman in Manhattan & was beloved by all his coworkers.

Mike had an enormous heart, wonderful sense of humor & quick wit and always a touch of sarcasm. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor & charm will be missed.

Mikes greatest joy was his family.  His love for his 6 children & many grandchildren was only unmatched by his sense of pride for them.  Mike always looked forward to his annual summer trips to Ireland with his daughter Noreen, to spend time with his family & lifelong friends.

He is survived by his devoted daughter & caregiver, Noreen, daughter Mary Amato, sons Michael, Kieran & Harold - their spouses, Greg, Debbie, Sobeida & Noemi, his many grandchildren who loved him dearly, as well as his brother Billy & sister Nora of Ireland.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Teresa, son Billy & daughter in law, Jill.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 8th from 3pm to 6pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday morning, August 9th at 10am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH 03054. Burial will follow at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
