Mary Ann Spellman, 65, of Revere and formerly Jamaica Plain, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Merrimack Health Methuen Hospital in Methuen, MA.  She had most recently been residing in Atkinson, NH with her family.  She was born on March 9, 1960, in Boston, MA to the late Robert Sr. and Jeanette (Eastwine) Spellman.

Mary Ann was a beachgoer, with Revere Beach remaining a favorite place.  Mary Ann spent the entirety of her career, a tremendous 47 years, working at Brigham and Women's Hospital.  The majority of that time was as an administrative assistant and educational coordinator for the doctors in the anesthesiology department.  She made such an impact on her colleagues that many of them continued to support her after her retirement and through her cancer journey.

Mary Ann was most often referred to as "Mimi" to anyone who considered her family and was beloved by all who knew her. She was central to the lives of her family and coveted all time spent with them.  Her nephew, Tommy, held a special place in her heart since the day he was born; he was her "Little Boy Blue".  She was an integral part of her sister-in-law's family, her chosen family.  Mimi was blessed beyond measure to have met her great-niece and honorary granddaughter, Sadie, during the final months of her life.  She always called Sadie her "Little Princess".  Mimi was also an animal lover who was comforted by her dear companion, Stinky Bum, the cat.

Mimi is survived by her brother, Robert "Bob" Spellman Jr. and his wife Gail (Atkinson, NH); nephew, Thomas B. Spellman, his wife Hayley, and their daughter, Sadie (Atkinson, NH); her chosen families the Goldstein and Paul families; as well as many beloved members of her friends who she considered her extended family.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 10am-12pm, and a funeral service will immediately follow.  Visiting hours and the service will take place at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
