She was born on November 18, 1937, to the late Ida (Sarao) and Nicholas Campiola. Mary Ann was raised in Lawrence, MA, attended local schools, and went on to attend MacIntosh Business School. At the age of 17, she met the love of her life, Martin "Marty" McDonough, and the two were married on November 26, 1960, at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence. While they lived the majority of their life in Salem, NH, they also enjoyed living in Germany and Kansas when they started their family.
Mary Ann spent 24 years working in administration at Central Catholic High School, which she loved very much. As her children began having families of their own, Mary Ann adored her grandchildren and happily helped to care for them. She had a passion for her family.
In her spare time, Mary Ann enjoyed shopping, catching up with family and friends on the phone, watching scary movies, and doting on their dog, Buster. She also loved soaking up the sun on the beach and spending time at the family mountain house in Silver Lake, NH. Mary Ann always made holidays special—especially Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Mary Ann is survived by her son, Shawn McDonough and his wife Cathy; her daughter, Kelly Coletti; her beloved grandchildren, Patrick McDonough and his fiancé Brianna Ryan, Kelsie McDonough, Marina Coletti, and DJ Coletti; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, who she loved dearly, Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband, Martin McDonough, and her sister, Adrienne.
