Marilyn Jean Wensing

Marilyn J. Wensing, 83, of Windham, NH, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. 

She was born on October 21, 1943, in Ellsworth, ME, to the late Robert and Kathleen (Remick) Karst. She spent most of her life living in NH where she raised her family. Marilyn devoted much of her life to caring for her home and family. She also enjoyed her many years working as a cashier at the Waterhouse Country Store, where she especially treasured the friendships and conversations she shared with her customers. 

In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, Cribbage, any type of word game, and testing her luck with scratch tickets. She had a special love of gardening and nature, finding joy in tending to her plants and watching the birds around her. Marilyn also enjoyed spending time at the ocean and made it a point to spend a couple of weeks at Hampton Beach every summer where she looked forward to lobsters and steamers.

Marilyn is survived by her five children, Debbie (Desautels) Schelzi, Douglas Desautels, Jeffrey Desautels and his wife Sophia, Julie (Desautels) Doyon and her husband Carl, and Brad Benjamin and his wife Deanna and 12 beloved grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dieter Wensing.
