Marie M. Johnson, 81, a lifelong resident of Windham, NH, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Brigham & Women's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 18, 1942, to the late Gilbert and Rita (Simmers) Chadwick, in Lawrence, MA.

Marie was raised in Windham, educated in Methuen and has a bachelor's degree in business. She also won the title of the very first, Miss Cobbett's Pond.

Marie had a strong work ethic, held various jobs to support her family, worked for many years at HP, and later started her own Marie Johnson Realty Company, serving as a broker to the greater Windham Area. In her free time, Marie enjoyed listening to music, dancing, visiting the beach, crosswords, and keeping in touch with those who were important to her.

Marie is survived by her children: William D. Johnson, of Sandown, NH, Nancy J. Ell, of Kingston, NH, and Linda M. Johnson, of Windham, NH; her brother Kenney Chadwick; her grandchildren: Travis, Jordan, Isabella, and Julia; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marie is predeceased by her brothers: George, Gilbert, Robert, Jimmy, Albert, and Clifford Chadwick.
