Marian F. (Ahern) Brundige, 94, of Windham, NH, passed away on Monday morning, September 16, 2024, at Windham Terrace.
She was born on May 21, 1930, to Gertrude (Gould) and Hugh Ahern. Marian was raised in Dorchester, MA and attended local schools. She married the love of her life, Arthur Henry Brundige on May 27, 1951, and the couple raised their family in West Roxbury, MA. Marian was a devoted mother, caretaker and friend.
Marian enjoyed knitting, bowling, cake decorating, baking, playing cards and going to yard sales. She loved her travels to Bermuda, Ireland, and around the United States. She was a superb seamstress but, her greatest accomplishment was being a Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and sharing her incredible wit and humor.
She is survived by her children, Arthur Brundige Jr. of Plant City, FL, Joyce Herndon and her husband Bayard of Seabrook, NH, David Brundige and his wife Josie of Jacksonville, FL, Larry Brundige and his wife Cheryl of Lowell, MA, and Christopher Brundige and his wife Anne of Mansfield, MA; her grandchildren, April Starin, Mark Bond, Joy Keller, Keith Brundige, Matthew Brundige, Andrew Brundige and Carolyn Scanlon; her great-grandchildren, Colleen Bernard, Murphy Bond, Evelyn Bond, Charlotte Scanlon, Eleanor Scanlon, Penelope Scanlon, Dalton Keller, and Mark Keller; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marian was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur Brundige; her granddaughters, Arielle and Tess Brundige, and her siblings.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place the following day at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
