Margot
Driscoll
Aug 3, 1955 — Nov 30, 2025
Salem
Margot (Hanlon) Driscoll, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
Margot was born on August 3rd, 1955, in Concord, Massachusetts to her loving parents Albert Hanlon Jr. and Virginia (Manter) Hardy. Margot was raised with her three siblings in Northborough, Massachusetts. She spent her adult life raising her daughter and twin boys in Londonderry, New Hampshire and recently found her dream home in Salem, New Hampshire. She and her children loved spending time there together for holidays and special events.
She had a deep passion for exploring the world throughout her 43-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines. She often spoke warmly of the wonderful friends she made along the way, and the many people she met cherished the time they spent with her. One of her greatest joys was sharing her love of travel with her children, creating memories that meant everything to her. From Berlin and Rome to Istanbul, Bermuda, Dublin, and London, Margot was profoundly grateful to give her children the gift of seeing the world. Her numerous work trips to Mumbai were especially meaningful to her. She found extreme gratitude and perspective as she adventured the country, seeing the Taj Mahal and donating her children's hand-me-downs to orphanages.
Margot's most cherished places were the oceans and lakes of New England. She found deep peace by the water, spending hours on the shores of Plum Island with a good book or listening to the loons calling across the lake in Wilton, Maine. Margot's proudest accomplishments were raising her wonderful children into the people they are today. She always emphasized the importance of family, and no drive (or flight) was too far for the chance for Margot to spend time with her loved ones. Those that she loved always knew she was coming by her well-known contagious laugh. She treasured each moment with her family and always stressed the importance of unity and faithfulness to one another.
She is survived by her children, Caroline Drouin and her husband Cody, their daughter (granddaughter) Genevieve of Concord, NH, William Driscoll and his girlfriend Brooke of Charlestown, MA, Ryan Driscoll and his wife Alli of Haverhill, MA; her siblings Deirdre Bass, Paul Hanlon and Karen Grove; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 12 - 3PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Interment will be privately held for the family. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.carrierfuneralhome.com
