Margaret Mary Ryer

Margaret Mary Ryer, 85, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully September 4, 2026, with her family by her side. Born July 31, 1941, in Boston to Dr. C. Francis and Annette (Sasner) Wozmak, “Peggy” grew up in Jaffery, NH and graduated from Our Lady of Monadnock Academy in 1959. She attended Boston University and and earned her teaching degree from Salem State College.

Peg married Damond “Rick” Ryer in 1963 and raised their two children in Newbury, Massachusetts. They were long time members of the Oldtown Country Club and were active in the local tennis community. She was the head coach of the Triton Regional High School Women’s Varsity tennis team for many years. Peg and Rick ultimately retired to a winter home in Sun City West, Arizona where they enjoyed pickle ball, tennis and golf, returning to New Hampshire in the summers to spend time with their kids’ growing families.

Peggy loved gardening, walking and various arts and crafts throughout her life. She loved to grow huge tomatoes and make cucumber sandwiches. She handmade embossed birthday and holiday cards. An avid painter, she even hosted an art show of her paintings at the Baldwin retirement community.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rick; children Alex Ryer, and his wife Jenny, and Stephanie Caron, and her husband Barry; 4 grandchildren Graham, Maddy and Paige Ryer and Ally Childs; as well as her brothers Mark and Jack Wozmak. She is predeceased by her mother Annette Sasner, father and stepmother “Woz” and “Dixie” Wozmak, sister Dorothy Humphreys, and brothers Earle, Bill, and Jim Wozmak.

Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4-6 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will begin at 6 PM. Interment will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11 AM, at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead, NH.
