Manuel Pais Almeida Loureiro, 77, of Windham, NH, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 17, 1945, to the late Joaquim and Elzira (Almeida) Loureiro, in Quintela de Azurara, Portugal.

After immigrating to the United States, Manuel proudly served his country as part of the United States Army in the Vietnam War, and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He had many joys in life, which included gardening, building stone walls, cooking, reading, and playing card games. Above all, spending time with his large family was always close to Manny's heart.

Manuel is survived by his wife of many years: Gloria D. (Carbonneau) Loureiro; their children: Maryann Evans, and her husband Bill, of Coral Springs, FL, Elizabeth Gill, and her husband Jason, of Windham, NH, and Brandon Loureiro, and his wife Mary Ellen, of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren: Sebastian, Daniel, Sierra, Annabella, and Sofia; his siblings: Manuela Rosa, Alice Melo, Fernanda Figueiredo, Joaquim Loureiro; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Manuel is predeceased by his siblings: Irene Carvalho, Natalia Sousa, Filomena Melo, Laura Loureiro, and Antonio Loureiro.

Calling hours will take place on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 4-7 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 1 PM, at St. Matthews Parish, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087. Burial will follow at Cemetery on the Plain, Windham, NH.
