Louis "Phil" Lantagne, 91, of Salem, NH passed away on Monday morning, January 16 ^th , 2023 at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen, MA.

Phil was born on November 25 ^th , 1931 to Rose (Favreau) and George Lantagne. He was raised in Lawrence, MA, attending St. Anne's Grade School and Central Catholic High School. Phil went on to serve in the United States Army.  He married the love of his life, Marcelle (Jean) Lantagne and the couple raised their family in Salem, N.H.  He spent many years working for AT&T.

In his spare time, Phil enjoyed fishing, camping, and doing crossword puzzles. He took multiple trips cross-country and to Europe. Also wintering in Florida for over 30 years. Most of all, Phil loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Philippe Lantagne and his wife Jocelyn of Pelham, NH, Janet (Lantagne) Codagnone and her husband Bruce of East Hampstead, NH, John Lantagne of Tewksbury, MA, David Lantagne of Salem, NH, and Steven Lantagne of Salem, NH; his grandchildren, Kristyn Mattke and her husband David, Mark Lantagne and his wife Bristol, Elissa Salemi and her husband Kevin, Peter DiSalvo and his wife Jessica, Jeffrey DiSalvo and his wife Maura, and Elyse; his great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jaxon, Callie, Mackenzie, Cora, Melanie, Lilly, and Addison; as well as his siblings, Germaine Dufour, Theresa Anderson and her husband Roland, Joseph Lantagne and his wife Alma, and Elizabeth Lukas and her husband William.

In addition to his parents, Phil was predeceased by his wife Marcelle Lantagne; his grandson, Philippe W. Lantagne Jr, and his siblings, George Lantagne and Jeanne Kearny.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 20 ^th from 4 to 7pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, at 10am at St. Joseph Church, 40 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.
