Linda Charlotte Valley passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 71, in her hometown of Pelham, New Hampshire. She passed after a two year battle with glioblastoma brain cancer in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Never losing hope in the face of incredible odds, she fought to the end with a love that was selfless and a will that inspired awe.

She was born to Gisele Lacasse and Peter Kerepka on November 19, 1951. The oldest of five, she grew up in her father's farmhouse in Pelham, NH. After graduating from Alvirne High in 1969 she moved to Boston where she spent her early twenties. Shortly after she began her career working at Charles River Laboratories, where her desire to help others would lead to a 45 year career in science. Her work with transgenic animals has contributed to countless studies in the pursuit advancing medicine and enriching the lives of her fellow man.

Linda approached life with appreciation, curiosity and good humor. She could always see the good in others and had a magnetic quality that could make anyone feel at home in her presence. Her love of the outdoors was always present, spending early mornings outside taking in the sounds of nature with a cup of hot coffee in hand. She spoke of the birds as if they were lifelong friends and spoke of her friends as if they were her family. She spoke of her family with pride and love. Linda is survived by her husband, Michael; a son, Mykael; a daughter, Sara; her brothers, Marc and Paul; her sisters, Suzanne and Michelle; and her many, many loving friends.

Life may change, but is not over. Absolutely.
