Linda Lee Crane, 76, of Londonderry, NH passed away on Wednesday morning, July 12th, 2023, at the All American Assisted Living.

She was born on June 6, 1947, to Eleanor E. (McKenzie) and James C. Welch. Linda was raised in Medford, Massachusetts.  She graduated from Medford High School, Class of 1965. Following high school graduation, she went on to work at a Law Office in Boston. Linda later began her career in bookkeeping and spent many years working for Forlizzi Brothers in Chelsea, MA.

Linda was married to her love, Russell Crane for 42 years.  The two raised their family in Medford. Throughout her life Linda loved her family unconditionally and was fiercely protective of them. As a child she loved vacations at Ayers Lake with her family. When she had a family of her own, Linda continued this tradition of family time spent around the campfire and relaxing by the water at Grandview Campground on Baxter Lake. Linda loved the color purple, playing Bingo and cards, and spending time laughing and making memories with family.  Linda was an amazing cook.  Some of her specialties included roast beef, scalloped potatoes, meatballs and sauce, lasagna, calzones, and chocolate peanut butter trifle.

Linda was a caretaker at heart, always bringing food and gifts to sick friends and family, caring for her parents as they aged, and offering to help care for others at Assisted Living.

Linda is survived by her children, Eleanor Downing & her husband Thomas of Weare, NH and Thomas Crane and his wife Kerri of Reading, MA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Downing, Kassidy Downing, Emma Crane, Patrick Crane, and Henry Crane; her siblings, Dorothy Porcaro and her husband Ernest, Deborah Winsor and her husband Bob, James Welch and his wife Kathy, Paul Welch, Susan McLaughlin and her husband John, and Michael Welch and his wife Terri; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Linda cherished her time playing with her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as, "Nay Nay." She loved to get right down on the floor and be silly with them.  Linda would also make up silly songs and nicknames for all the grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Russell Crane.

Calling hours will be on Monday, July 17th from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 5pm at the funeral home.
