Leo R. Bouchard 88, of Hampstead NH, passed away peacefully Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Haverhill, MA. He was born on September 13, 1937, in Methuen, MA.
Leo was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lawrence MA, Class of 1955 and served in the Army Reserves. He worked as a programmer for Western Electric / AT&T / Lucent Technologies for 33 years, and retired in 1993. Leo enjoyed wintering in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with his wife Maureen upon her retirement in 2004 for 20 plus years.
Leo was an avid sportsmen that loved all sports but especially golf, tennis, and bowling. He enjoyed gardening and home improvement projects, as he was a talented craftsman. He served as an usher on Sundays 8:00 o'clock mass at Saint Anne Church Hampstead NH, and was a Honorary Life Member of the Knight's of Columbus Council 4442 in Salem, NH.
Leo is survived by his wife Maureen "Sunshine" (Thibodeau) Bouchard. They were married May 19th, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, MA., and spent 63 years together in Salem & Hampstead, NH. He is also survived by his son Scott R. Bouchard and his partner Stuart Lachman of Westlake Village, CA., Sister-In-Law's, Brother-In-Law's, Nieces, Nephews, cousins & many Family Friend's.
He is predeceased by his parents George and Jeanne (Bedard) Bouchard and brother Bobby Bouchard.
We would like to give a special heart felt thank you to the wonderful staff at Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center who have become our extended Family & will forever hold a place in our hearts.
Family and Friends will celebrate Leo's life & smile by gathering for Visitation from 10am to 11am on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Saint Anne Parish, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH 03841.
A funeral mass will then follow, at 11am at St. Anne's.
A private burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date.
