Laurence C. "Lonnie" Little, 80, of Sandown, NH, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at High Pointe Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 27, 1942, to the late Laurence H. and Marie L. (Courtemanche) Little in Lynn, MA.
Laurence served his country for many years in the United States Navy. He spent his time on an aircraft carrier of the coast of Cuba. His claim to fame was landing on an aircraft carrier at night during his first flight.
In his free time, Laurence had many joys in life. He enjoyed gardening, bicycling, hiking, and cooking. He was a member of the Granite State Wheelman and loved British MG Sportscars. He recently even bought a 1955 MG TF. Laurence took many trips with his fiancé Linda Russell bicycling through the U.S. and Canada and hiking through Europe. Laurence spent much of his career and retired from AT&T as a supervisor.
In addition to his fiancé, Laurence is survived by his children: Susan Knowlton, and her husband Mark, of Taunton, MA, and Laurence H. Little, and his wife Tina, of Clinton, NJ; his grandchildren: Matthew, Ryan, and Mollie; as well as his siblings: Sandra Little, and Charles Little, and his wife Valerie.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 11 AM-2 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with interment to follow at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 -OR- the Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Rd, Manchester, NH 03102.
