Kevin J. Kimball, 68 of Salem, NH, passed away May 16, 2023 at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH.

Born in Dorchester, MA he was the son to the late Harry and Katherine (Crowell) Kimball. Kevin was the loving husband of Debra Kimball and was here to celebrate their 46 ^th wedding anniversary on May 14 ^th .

Kevin grew up in Dorchester before moving to Salem, NH and graduating from Salem High School in 1972. Kevin and Debra set their roots and raised their three children Amy, Daniel and Matthew in Salem.

Kevin started his career as a Firefighter with the Salem Fire Department in 1975 where he had risen through the ranks and retired as Captain for SFD; serving his community for 25 years. During his time at the SFD Kevin also served his colleagues in the role of Union President to the fire department.

Kevin loved being at home and you could find him in his chair watching his favorite shows. He was a family man, family always came first and he always had time for his children, nieces and nephews. He was the kind of man that would be a listening ear and if you wanted advice you could count on him to give it. If you happened to check out Sammy J's during the week there was a good chance you ran in to Kevin and Deb; he loved getting breakfast there and him and Deb would go often. Kevin had a love and passion for cars. He loved muscle cars and his favorite was the Pontiac GTO. He shared this passion with his father in-law Don Sr., and his brother in-law Donnie Jr., where you would often hear them chat about car auctions and then about the cars they bought at the car auctions.

We had to let him go, but as he leaves us he is being welcomed to Heaven by his parents Harry and Katherine, and his brother Harry Kimball.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years: Debra (Croteau) Kimball of Salem, NH; his children Amy Kimball of Salem, NH, Dan and his wife Lisa of Danville, NH and Matt and his wife Amanda of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren Isabella, Tristan, Austen and Madison; his siblings Robert and his wife Mary Ann Kimball of Salem, NH, Richard and his wife Virginia Kimball of Moultonborough, NH, and Kathleen LaPlante of Salem, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Monday, May 22nd from 4-7 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd, Windham, NH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH
