Juliette "Julie" (Labrecque) Desroche, 99, a lifelong resident of Methuen, MA passed away on Monday, January 9 ^th , 2023 at the Mary Immaculate Center in Lawrence.

She was born on February 19, 1923 to Maria (Compagna) and Adelard Labrecque. Julie attended local schools until the 8 ^th grade when she stayed home to help her family. She met the love of her life, Emile Desroche and the couple shared 73 wonderful years of marriage. Throughout her life, Julie always took care of others, whether it was her husband, children, grandchildren, or the many other children that came through the household.

In addition to being devoted to her family, Julie was also a devoted Catholic. She was involved in the St. Theresa's Ladies Society. She also took part in the PTA and Rainbow Club. In her spare time, Julie enjoyed playing 45 ' s and knitting hats and mittens for the Lazarus House and traveling with the Rainbow Club.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Elaine Wood and her husband Roy of Gainsville, GA; her son, Roger Desroche and his wife Sandra of Salem, NH; her grandchildren, Lynn, Thomas (David Farnsworth), and James (April) Desroche; her beloved great-grandson, Aiden Desroche and great-granddaughter Gwen Farnsworth; along with her sisters, Lucille Soulard and Joan Auger.

In addition to her parents, Julie was predeceased by her loving husband Emile Desroche; her brother, Chanel Labrecque; and her sisters, Loretta Garceau and Rita Jalbert.

There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday morning, January 16 ^th at 10:30am at St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA 01844. The mass will be livestreamed at olgcparish.com. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
