Julia Braster, 70, of Salem, NH passed away on Sunday, April 9th, 2023, at her home.

She was born on February 18th, 1953 to Phyllis (Cattell) and Bill Bryant. Julia was raised in the St. Louis area of Missouri and attended local schools. She studied at the University of Houston for 3-4 years. After that she went on to earn her master's degree at Washington State University in Cellular bio.

Furthering her education, Julia moved to Germany to earn her PHD in Gene Technology and ended up meeting the love of her life, Olaf Braster. The couple married in Germany and later moved to California where they built their first home in Walnut Creek. Later they moved to Indiana for ten years. They moved to New Hampshire and purchased their dream home, a large colonial style house next to historic landscape, where they resided for their last 23 years together.

In her spare time, Julia loved to garden, paint, read books, go shopping, and decorate the house.

Julia is survived by her sons, Sven Friedrich Braster, and Paul Herbert Braster, and his wife Alyssa; her grandchildren, twins Skylar Rose Braster, Ryder Cruz Braster, and two more on the way; her brother, Charlie Bryant, and his wife Debra; her nephews, Daniel, Kevin, and James; as well as other extended family members.
