Joseph George "Joe" Sullivan, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, after a hard fought battle with cancer. A resident of Auburn, NH, Joe leaves behind his wife of almost 25 years, Robin (Garabedian) , and children, Garrett and Setta, who were by their father's side throughout the most loving and difficult times; and were truly the reason Joe found purpose in life.

Joe was the youngest sibling and leaves behind: Cheryl (and Rick) Gibson of Manchester, NH, Michael (and Lisa) Sullivan of Hooksett, NH, Lisa (her partner Russell) Sullivan of Merrimack, NH, and Charles (and Darleen) Sullivan of Port St. Lucie, FL. Joe's extended family include Susan and Michael Flynn, Mark Garabedian, and mother-in-law, Sandra Garabedian. Nieces and Nephews Michael, Tabetha, Christopher; Steven, Kaelyn, Shaye; Ashley, Kamryn; Sean, Kathryn; and Mary, James, Erin, and Samuel.

Born August 25, 1964 in Presque Isle, ME to Marlyn (Post) and Leroy "Sully" Sullivan, Joe spent most of his life in Merrimack, NH. He fondly shared many stories of his childhood filled with mischief between siblings, with his devoted mother always involved.

Joe started his longstanding career working side by side with one of the greats in the auto industry, his true hero, father "Sully". Through Sully Joe learned and mastered managing a shop filled with technicians, advisers, and customers with ease and air of command. A devoted Ford Man, Joe served many dealerships, but had the utmost pleasure at his final job as service manager for Bonneville & Son. Joe loved his "dream job", what the company represented, and enjoyed time with his coworkers.

Above all, Joe enjoyed simple things - grocery shopping, going to the butcher, engaging with perfect strangers, firing up his gas grill to barbeque, blasting 70's music while doing chores, and up-keeping his lawn and new driveway. Joe loved riding his Harley, time spent on Seabrook Beach with family by his side, many camping trips shared with cherished friends, and Pinkerton's football games.

To Joe, family was everything. Nightly dinners at the table were what he most looked forward to. He often shared with Robin how blessed he was to have such an amazing family. His children are the perfect combination of both Robin and Joe's personalities and truly are Joe's most important imprint in this world. He loved Garrett's drive and commitment to everything he put his mind to, and was thrilled knowing his son shared the same passion for 70s music and motorcycles that he did. He adored Setta's charm and quick wit, believed she was much like him, and believed Setta could someday run the world. He loved hearing Setta's stories as they were always funny and loved their adventures going on their annual Christmas ornament excursions.

Joe's infectious laughter, his spirit, and belief of living each day "One Day at a Time" is a legacy that will live on through Garrett and Setta. He approached cancer by joking that "No one likes a quitter", and through determination and grit would not quit living and doing the things that he enjoyed despite this insidious disease. He was his family's most passionate advocate and is an example of how a man can move mountains with faith and determination.

His family would like to especially thank those at Dana Farber and Brigham & Women's Hospital, for not only their medical knowledge, but for their exceptional care and compassion given to Joe throughout his treatment.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 4-7 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Rd., Windham, NH 03087. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10 AM, at the Ararat Church, 2 Salem Street, Salem, NH 03079. Burial will follow at the Village Cemetery in Auburn, NH.
