John Cail, 85, of Sandown, NH, died peacefully in his home while surrounded by his loving family.

John was born in Newfoundland, Canada on October 12, 1937 to the late Carmen and Hazel Cail. After proudly serving in the US Army Core of Engineers from 1962 to 1965, John went on to pursue a career as a self-employed carpenter. John later transitioned to a career at Digital Equipment from 1976 to his retirement in 2003.

In his free time, John enjoyed carpentry, fishing, reading, and supporting all New England sports. His friends and family will remember him for his kindness and honesty, as well as for being genuinely loving, caring, and funny.

John is survived by his wife and sweetheart since 1967, Mary Elizabeth Mullen Cail, as well as his sister, Gloria and brother-in-law, Robert Totman; his son John Cail and Laura Angelo; his daughter Kimberly and her husband Michael Boudreau, and Pamela Cail; his grandchildren Amanda Cail, John Cail, Sierra Boudreau, Abbey Cail, Madison Boudreau; his great granddaughter Mia Cail; as well as many brothers and sister in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 12:30 – 3:00PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
