John "Jack" Mahoney, Jr., 89, of Salem, NH, passed away on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA.

He was born to Phyllis (Larsen) and John Mahoney, Sr. on February 24th, 1935 in Boston, MA. Jack was a graduate of Charlestown High School, and went on to earn his associate's degree. Jack was a longtime resident of Malden. After earning an associate degree and serving in the United States Army, he began his career at the United States Postal Service as a Postmaster in Malden. Jack enjoyed his time as a youth baseball coach and after his retirement, traveling with his wife Diane. His favorite days were spent on the Cape, where he loved bike riding and walking through Falmouth.

Jack is survived by his loving daughters, Patricia and Michael Bucciero of Salem, NH, and Susan and Scott Bucciero of Salem, NH; his grandchildren John, Lisa, Kelley, James, John, Nicole and Emily; his great-grandchildren Noah, Vivian, Evelyn, Craig and Steven; his partner Barbara True; and his siblings James Mahoney, Phyllis Flynn and Betty Byrne. He was predeceased by his wife Diane E. (Whyte) Mahoney; their son Stephen Mahoney; his siblings Carol Mahoney, Buddy Mahoney, Robert Mahoney, Paul Mahoney, David Mahoney, Janet Gruttner and Elaine Rooney.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Monday April 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment with United States Army Honors will follow at the Cemetery on the Plain, Windham, NH.
