John G. Liapis, 87, of East Hampstead, NH, passed away on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at the Parkland Medical Center.

He was born on March 10, 1937, to the late George and Despina (Kermitzoglou) Liapis.

John was raised in Somerville, MA where he attended local schools. Upon his graduation from high school, he bravely served his nation with the United States Navy. John then entered the workforce with Honeywell, and later began his long and successful career as a Production Manager at GTE. During this time, he received his bachelor's degree from Northeastern University. He was the owner of Lafayette Square Pub in Haverhill, MA for 7 years.

A devoted family man and husband, John coveted time spent with family. He also enjoyed skiing and surf fishing, as well as being an avid sports fan. John resided in New Hampshire since 1966.

John leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Ethel (Hagigeorges) Liapis; his daughter, Deborah L. Desjardin of Windham, NH; and his loving grandchildren, Leyla and Anna Desjardin.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers, James and Nicholas Liapis, and by his son-in-law, Jim Desjardin.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 11am-12pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 12pm. Burial will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery in Hampstead, NH.
