John T. Emery Sr., 81, of Salem, NH, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at his home with his loving daughter by his side. He was born on August 17, 1941, to the late Walter and Mary (Greenwood) Emery, in Lowell, MA.

John was a devoted husband of 60 years to the love of his life. He was also devoted to his church Granite United.

John had many joys in life. He loved deep sea fishing, classic country music such as George Jones, and playing classic card games such as cribbage and Merrimack Valley's own 45's. John was an avid Boston sports fan and could frequently be found rooting for the Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, and corn hole, especially with his son in law and grandsons. In his final months, John found peace in sitting outside with his daughter, watching the beautiful nature New Hampshire has to offer. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his best buddy and grandson Nicholas, as well as his other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his great grandson Michael.

In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his wife of many years, Arline (Rapaglia) Emery; and their sons: John Emery Jr. and Michael Emery.

John is survived by his children: Lynn Buckley, and her husband Philip Jr., of Salem, NH; Wayne Emery, and his wife Channon, of Georgia, his sister: Evelyn Hederman; his grandchildren: Nicholas, Tyler and his fiancé Kayla Leeds. Samantha, Jacob, and Annelise; and his great-grandson: Michael Anthony Emery.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 9-11 AM at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A funeral service will follow immediately at 11 AM.
