John Stephen Csokmay, 86, of Salem, NH and Naples, FL succumbed to his fight with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 25th, 2024.

John was born in Cleveland Ohio August 19th, 1937 to Marie Kish Csokmay. After graduating from Parma High School, Ohio, John entered the US Air Force and served his country for four years. After an honorable discharge, he started his career at Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, Ohio. There, his love of Ford Lincoln Mercury's blossomed. He married Maureen White of Medford, MA and moved back to Woburn, MA with sons David and John, where he continued to work for Ford. He continued his career at Harvey Industries, then as a carpenter, and finally retiring from Addison Wesley.

After retiring, he was blessed to have met Jean Grieco of Lawrence, MA. They shared many years of happiness, spending their winters in Naples, FL and summers in Salem, NH. John was greatly loved by Jean's family. He always fully enjoyed participating in the many activities, events and adventures that came along, including trips to Rye Beach, NH and Marco Island, FL.

Never forgetting his roots, John was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football fan. His love for cars also never diminished. He had a special fondness for older Mercury Grand Marquis' and Lincoln Town Cars. He loved stopping by the local car lots or going to auto shows to check out the latest vintage offerings.

John leaves behind his loving life partner, Jean Grieco and her children, James Grieco, Jean Marie Vitas, Lisa Grieco and Mark Grieco. He also leaves behind his son David Csokmay and his wife Christine.

John is also survived by his older sister Pat Prizzi of North Royalton, OH and is preceded in death by his mother Marie Csokmay, first wife Maureen, son John Jr., his other sister Violet Lepa as well as brother-in-law's, Joseph Prizzi and Edward Lepa. He will also be missed by grandchildren Joseph Csokmay, Alyssa Strong, Danielle Grieco, Kayla Vitas, Christine Gonzalez, Julia Grieco and Jonathan Grieco.
